In Pursuit of the Perfect Boiled Egg

I love hard boiled eggs.  They're always a yummy treat for snacks and goes very well with pasta.  However I've always had a problem with the timing since it takes a huge amount of boiling I usually get distracted.  Not anymore.  I've found the perfect timing and technique to get it right each and every time.
  1. You start by putting your eggs in the pot in one layer only with enough water to cover all of the eggs.
  2. Then you set the stove at medium heat and wait for the water to reach a roiling boil.
  3. Once the water's roiling, you count 1 minute after which you turn it off and move the pot to cool.
  4. While cooling, set your timer to 15 minutes while leaving the eggs inside to cook from the residual heat.  Tada!  The perfect hard boiled egg!
I took some time before posting this as I wanted to be sure it works each and every time I make hard boiled eggs.  Enjoy!
