Try to guess what each of us are thinking of. Correct guess wins a free drink at CBTL! Really really.

The CBTL journal has finally arrived into my arms! Here's another big, BIG thank you to the Joyful Mystery for the help, and Ahm and Melvin, too.
I recently bought a kilo of shrimps from the market. By chance I decided to ask if they can remove the shell for me for the same price. The person didn't give any excuse or whatever have you. He just said yes and went about it while I patiently waited. Indeed, this is great service. He definitely deserves a tip, don't you think?
The back of an armored truck. I've always thought of Apple as a PC with a slightly limited view because of its environment. Though, admittedly, it does have its up sides so I'm not dissing them too much. The users are another matter entirely where I think the warning to the right is most apt. If you disagree or agree with me, the comments are open below.
Another one down. This one I'm giving away to someone near and dear to me so I'm not tearing the shrink wrapping on the planner. ;)
So only one more to go and I'll be done. Still need 4 stamps for that last one.
The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf and Starbucks. These stores should be clearly categorized as dangerous being the blackholes that they are for my cash. Can I count on a little more help, please, Joyful Mystery...? :D
Seattle's Best Planner.
In response to The Joyful Mystery. :P
This drink list was at my hotel dining table. Ampalaya shake? Red Beet
delight? Corny Buko? None of these strike me as something I would want to
order. Would you order? I decided to just go for water and some orange
juice. Sounds better for me.
I wonder what kind of local cuisine they serve here. And if the waiters are required to sing the national anthem their way. ;)
I'm officially nuts about going poor for the sake of good coffee and cocoa drinks. Yea, this isn't even cocoa. ;)

Olive oil, soy sauce, worcestershire sauce, oyster sauce, chopped and peeled garlic, pepper, tabasco sauce, water, sugar and some Davao Lechon. A yummy breakfast for me!
Hmmm... I wonder how these taste. Anyone? It's not cheap, too. :S
This is from Cafe Josefina's menu, by the way.
What can I say? After a crazy day in the kitchen where I've created my personal busy kitchen record, here's what I had for lunch. Of course, those in the yellow containers are cooling. Those are my week's rations of food. ;)
:)
Thank You !

They're not fond of rules.
And they have no respect for the status quo.
You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them,
disbelieve them, glorify them or vilify them.
About the only thing you can't do is ignore them.
Because they change things.
They invent. They imagine. They heal.
They explore. They create. They inspire.
They push the human race forward.
Maybe they have to be crazy.
How else can you stare at an empty canvas and see a work of art?
Or sit in silence and hear a song that's never been written?
Or gaze at a red planet and see a laboratory on wheels?
We make tools for these kinds of people.
Because while some see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.
! And it's the people who are crazy enough to think they can
change the world who actually do.

RIP & Goodbye Steve. Thanks for everything. Even the stuff I hated.
Taken by Daphne during a lull in one of our meetings. She was bored, I guess.
I took some time before posting this as I wanted to be sure it works each and every time I make hard boiled eggs. Enjoy!
- You start by putting your eggs in the pot in one layer only with enough water to cover all of the eggs.
- Then you set the stove at medium heat and wait for the water to reach a roiling boil.
- Once the water's roiling, you count 1 minute after which you turn it off and move the pot to cool.
- While cooling, set your timer to 15 minutes while leaving the eggs inside to cook from the residual heat. Tada! The perfect hard boiled egg!

This was to have been posted back in July but I waited until now to do so as I wasn't too sure which way was up. At first I thought it was a living room scene or something with a coffee table, tv and chair. Turns out I was right on the first impression which is this one... A woman.
Here's an interesting transformation mode done by my son. Reminds me of
Robotech's Guardian mode for its Veritech mecha. What do you think?
Came with this message:
"Hey Dad, look what I just painted."
I so miss the kids being around.
I want to watch the final Harry Potter movie, too, but queuing up like that
is ridiculous. Oh, well... there's always going online to get a ticket.
*"Drive safely. You might be driving with the containers/trailers convoy
again."* That's the text message from my wife just before I headed out to
go to a friend's house last night. Precog?
Absolutely no sense of originality, this one. And this one. In case you're wondering, this is one of the customer queue guides in SM's Hypermart.
She did this during the summer at her Art Class. Though I know she doesn't mean anything with her choice of pictures, I believe it means something. Don't you think?

Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.

For now, I can imagine eating meat or burgers made from poop feeling weird and yucky, but I have no doubt it will become normal in the future. Just like drinking water recycled from sewage will also be normal. Can you picture all this? It's interesting, isn't it? Trivia: Did you know Frank Herbert has written about recycling sweat, dead bodies and human wastes in his Dune novels? The movie Soylent Green also features such recycling technology. And that Singapore recycles waste water for drinking? Sources: Youtube, Gear Diary, Fox NewsIts Fathers day once again and again I'm spending it alone. At home. No point in getting all sappy and depressed by going out to the malls and seeing all the dads with their kids. I did celebrate, though. I went to the mall yesterday and watched Green Lantern. In 3D, no less. So there, no need to feel sorry for me, right? Still wish I could have watched it with my kids. I'm sure they would have loved it equally. They never grew up with comic books. Manga, yes. Comic books, no. Most of all, I miss my own father. Wish he were still here. Good Luck !
